What is Stripe Climate?
The Stripe Climate programme was created by Stripe to enable businesses to voluntarily contribute a percentage of their revenue to carbon removal efforts.
Funds raised through Stripe Climate support a portfolio of early-stage technologies, including direct air capture, carbon mineralisation, and ocean-based removal.
These initiatives focus on permanently removing carbon rather than just offsetting emissions elsewhere.
Why carbon removal matters
We believe that reducing carbon emissions is essential for a healthy world, but it’s only a start.
There are still many industries that, for various reasons, can’t eliminate emissions overnight.
Carbon removal plays a key role in closing this gap by:
