It's the end of the leave year. You've tidied up the last few requests, corrected an allowance, and now the carry-over figures need to catch up with reality.
So you open the first employee. Recalculate. Close.
Open the second employee. Recalculate. Close.
You glance at the employee list. It does not glance back sympathetically. There are rather a lot of them. 😑
Nobody should spend a Thursday like this.
We'll show you the damage first 👀
Bulk actions are only relaxing when you know precisely what they're about to do. So before anything happens, we tell you.
The confirmation step lists the employees who won't be affected — anyone whose leave year doesn't follow the company calendar sits this one out, because "the leave year you just picked" doesn't mean the same thing for them.
And anything you've deliberately locked stays locked. A recalculation will overwrite a carry-over figure you set by hand, which is usually the entire point, but a locked figure is left exactly where you put it. If you've had a careful conversation with someone about their carry-over and pinned the number, that number survives.
No surprises. No quietly undoing your own work.
What this means for you
No more:
- Opening every employee in turn to press the same button
- Losing an afternoon to year-end tidying
- Discovering in March that half the company's carry over was never refreshed
- Keeping a private list of who you've done and who you haven't
Two choices, one confirmation, whole company. 😎
Availability
Recalculating carry-over for everyone is available on every plan. Head to Settings > Allowances and it's there.
