During October, which is Cyber Security Awareness Month, the Leave Dates team completed our annual audit and renewed our Cyber Essentials Certification to ensure that every device used in our business meets the security standard.

What is a Cyber Essentials certification?
Cyber Essentials is a UK Government-backed certification program designed to protect organisations against cyber threats and attacks.
How does the certification work?
Cyber Essentials is a 'technical audit' of all internal IT systems within the business. Each member of our team and leadership answer a self-assessment questionnaire about employees, their devices, routers, firewalls, software, location and more. The answers to each questionnaire are then received by assessors for marking.
Does the certification expire?
Yes. We treat this as an annual commitment and are proud to maintain our certification.
Who is responsible for outlining the technical standard of Cyber Essentials?
Experts from the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) collaborate with certification company IASME to outline the certification criteria and deliverables expected from applicants.
